Islam and Totalitarianism

We have to "spread Tolerance" not only in the Islamic societies but throughout the world. Isolate the negative elements from the peaceful open-minded majority in the Islamic World. Promote a positive global dialogue about human rights and peaceful coexistence. Prominent Muslim opinion-leaders should speak out against "Islamic Totalitarianism" and terrorism.

The influential Foreign Affairs Spokesman of the CDU/CSU in the German Parliament Dr. Friedbert Pflüger recently published a book on the new threat to global security: "Ein neuer Weltkrieg? Die islamistische Herausforderung des Westens" ("A New World War? The Challenge of Islamism"). Dr. Pflüger analyses for the World Security Network the "Islamic Totalitarianism" that motivates terrorists and their supporters and separates them from the peaceful, open-minded and pluralistic majority in the Islamic world.

The democratic Free World has to isolate these negative elements - regardless of whether they exist in Islamic countries or in Muslim communities elsewhere - and promote a long-term positive global dialogue about human rights and peaceful coexistence of Christians, Jews, Hindus, Muslims, Buddhists and all religious denominations. It needs to support prominent Muslim opinion-leaders who have the courage to speak out openly against "Islamic Totalitarianism" and terrorism. It is a pity that many in the Islamic world are still reluctant to confront this serious challenge.

We also have to "spread Tolerance" not only in the Islamic societies but throughout the world. The aim of totalitarianism has always been to seed hate towards certain groups like capitalists (Communism), Jews (National-Socialists) and now "USA and the West" (Islamic Totalitarianism).

The World Security Network Foundation is working on a global "Education for Tolerance" Project, which you can support as a "Friend of WSN".
