You define terrorism. So do the Israeli's. But this one-sided definition is done at one's own peril. Sharon does not admit that he targets civilians. But for every innocent Israeli civilian killed, there are several innocent Palestinians.
We (the west) created this miscreant state of Israel, a miscreant because we, the west, -out of feelings of guilt toward the Jewish people- gave something away that did not belong to us in the first place. The terrible suffering of the Jewish people at the hands of the Nazis and their helpers thus gave rise to the Palestinians being disposessed and displaced.
Now that generations of Jews were born and grew up in the territory of Israel, it is impossible to deny them the right to be there. But isn't it ironic that for this Jewish people. that longed and longs so much for safety, Israel is about the most dangerous place to be? And that the people that suffered so awfully over centuries, became tormentors?
Here, in our society, we can observe that people who abuse their children were often abused themselves.
Palestinians are fighting a war for their liberation. And, sooner or later, such wars are won. It is hard for them to fight back without resorting to means that many of us -indiscriminately- call terrorism. What would we do when fighting a war for what we considered a just cause, if we had to fight an opponent with tanks and fighter jets, and we had just rocks?
