Dr. Mojtaba Shamsrizi

Dr. Mojtaba Shamsrizi is a writer, journalist, scientist and management consultant based in Hamburg, Germany. Born in 1952 in Isfahan, Iran, he left the country due to political pressure by the Shah-regime, and went into exile in Germany.
In his writings he addresses social issues like xenophobia and racism and argues for human rights and social justice. He has published poems promoting dialogue between East and West, and books about historical-cultural topics. Additionally, he expresses his thoughts by composing music. With his expertise he has acted as advisor for media-productions of several German radio and TV-stations, including NDR, WDR and ZDF.
Dr. Shamsrizi completed his PhD at University of Hamburg in Chemistry, was lecturing at the same university and researching at Hamburg University of Technology (TUHH). He now works as a business consultant specialized in the healthcare industry and publishing houses.Dr. Shamsrizi has supported a variety of initiatives.
He is co-founder of the "Westöstliche Kulturforum", an active member of the Kulturforum Hamburg and has organized several events in all parts of Germany, including the "Caravan for Tolerance".
