Dear President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono,

I am writing you in order to express my innermost concerns about the imminent executions of the convicts Fabianus Tibo, Dominggus da Silva and Marinus Riwu.

As I am told by reliable sources the three men might not be guilty of what they are accused of. The testimony of several witnesses which has led to such assumption was heard but remained without any impact on the death sentence.

The death penalty is a severe, cruel and inhuman punishment. Therefore and in particular because of the arguable sentence I urge you to pardon Fabianus Tibo, Dominggus da Silva and Marinus Riwu. Please consider all the voices which have called upon you before me. Please support aiming at a re-opening of the case.

Respectfully Yours,

Carl-Eduard von Bismarck
Member of the German Bundestag
